FAQ

Co-Living is ‘community – living’.  It’s about like-minded people coming together to live out their best lives in the city.  It is about living differently.  You need to be open to connection, networking and shared spaces while living in your own private studio.

Co-Living is for anyone looking for something a little different, convenient, community, and a simpler, lighter way of life.  Co-Living is definitely for everyone; the singles, the couples, the friends, the nomads, students, the corporates, and the curious.  We have a space for you all.

CDA offers you different options for accommodation. The best way to be sure is to book a tour and come see how great this is for yourself.

We really are very diverse and age is merely a number at CDA.  It’s not the age that matters, it’s the mindset and everyone at CDA are like-minded and well suited to living together.

All bills are included in your rent. In CDA we are passionate about going the extra mile for you.

Yes! We have a laundry area on each property with a washing machine. Some properties are also equipped with a dyer.

We provide monthly cleaners; however, each housemate will have cleaning responsibilities in the communal living room, hallway, stairs, bathrooms, and communal kitchen. As occupant, you are expected to keep the house in a clean and good condition.

To end the lease, you must provide 3 weeks’ written notice beforehand, emailed to hello@cdacoliving.com advising of your departure date. This applies even if you are departing at the end of the contract term.  A departure email will be sent outlining all financials and departure expectations.

CdA Co-Living will not take responsibility for notices sent through other channels different to the email provided.

The security deposit will be refunded within 14 business days of departure to an Australian bank account.

Please request the repair in writing at https://cdacoliving.info/Maintenance explaining what needs fixing.

‘Reasonable’ repair depends on the age and potential life of the premises. CdA Co-Living is not required to fix any damage that you cause

At the end of the Lease term, if the Landlord or The Occupant does not give any written notice to the other party to end this Lease, it will automatically continue on a month-to-month basis.

The Security Deposit is intended to pay the cost of damages, cleaning, excessive wear and tear, and unreturned keys once the Lease Agreement has ended and/or for any unpaid charges due by reason of The Occupant’s default of this Lease Agreement.

CdA Co-Living will not admit to using the Security Deposit as the last rent payment after the move-out notice is provided.

For bed, room, or house changes, you must contact us at hello@cdacoliving.com with sufficient notice, and all changes must be approved before taking place (changes will be subject to availability).

The holding deposit ensures that the room you’ve chosen is reserved specifically for you, preventing others from taking that room in the meantime. In competitive rental markets, rooms can get filled quickly. A holding deposit allows you to secure the room promptly.

Please note that if you change your mind, the security deposit is not refundable.

To secure your room, we will require you to pay one week’s rent as a non-refundable holding deposit. Once you pay the holding deposit, it demonstrates your serious intent to occupy the room, and we will reserve the room for you.

This deposit will be deducted from your total rental costs or security deposit when you officially move in. Please remember that if you change your mind and decide not to take the room, we will retain the holding deposit.
